Velum is Spain’s premium textile care platform for the hospitality, restaurant and healthcare sectors. Headquartered in Madrid, it provides end-to-end management of professional textiles for its clients — sourcing, care, replacement and control — acting as a comprehensive textile management and care service provider that operates through its own plants and a nationwide network of certified partners.
Velum is neither an industrial laundry nor a textile manufacturer: it is a service operator that assumes full responsibility for the textile cycle under a renting model — clients use the textiles and pay for their availability, without needing to own or manage them. Washing, ironing and logistics are carried out at the group’s own plants or outsourced to certified industrial laundries operating under Velum’s quality standards and protocols.
Quarza has co-invested in Velum alongside Pax Capital Partners and Beka Alpha Partners to build the first Iberian textile care platform through a buy-and-build strategy. The investment provides the resources needed to integrate industrial laundry plants across different geographies, consolidate the commercial offering under a single brand and professionalise the group’s operational management, with a long-term growth commitment. The platform today has a dedicated management team, an active acquisition pipeline and a defined roadmap to achieve nationwide coverage and expand into Portugal.

Velum manages the entire professional textile service — sourcing, maintenance, replacement and logistics — through a single point of contact. Clients avoid tying up capital and coordinating multiple suppliers, while benefiting from a consistent service backed by defined quality standards.
2. Replicable standard: own plants and certified network.
The model combines Velum’s own plants with a network of audited partners operating under the same protocols. This ensures consistent quality and industrial control while enabling scalable service coverage across Spain.
3. Buy-and-build with an Iberian ambition.
Velum grows by acquiring and integrating industrial laundry plants under a single brand, management model and common service standards. This strategy drives operational efficiencies, expands coverage across Spain and supports future growth into Portugal.
4. Bespoke textiles for each client.
Velum works with clients to define fabrics, finishes, colours and brand personalisation, selecting the right specialist manufacturer for each project. It coordinates the process through to the final prototype, ensuring that textiles meet both operational requirements and each client’s brand identity.
